Singapore & Malaysia from Kolkata: A 6-Day Itinerary That Actually Works

By Travel Zone Editorial Team••7 min read time•Verified Travel Guide

Singapore and Malaysia are the most popular first overseas holiday for Kolkata families, and with direct flights to both cities a six-day trip needs only one internal flight.

Day 1-3: Singapore

Land in Singapore and spend the first evening at Marina Bay with the Spectra light show. Day two is Sentosa: Universal Studios or S.E.A. Aquarium, plus the Wings of Time show at night. Day three belongs to Gardens by the Bay and the Night Safari.

**Tip:** buy attraction tickets in advance for Universal Studios on weekends, when queues can double.

Day 4: Fly to Kuala Lumpur

Short flights run all day between the two cities. Check in, then head to the Petronas Towers and KLCC Park for sunset photographs.

Day 5: Genting Highlands

The Awana Skyway cable car climbs to the hill resort for the indoor and outdoor theme parks. On the way back stop at Batu Caves and eat a banana-leaf lunch in Brickfields.

Visa and paperwork

Singapore needs a visa for Indian passport holders, so apply at least three weeks ahead. Malaysia's entry rules for Indians have changed several times in recent years, so we confirm the current requirement before booking.

Budget guide

Expect higher hotel prices in Singapore and better value in Kuala Lumpur. Our Singapore and Malaysia Combo package starts from ₹61,999 per person, including flights, 4-star hotels, daily breakfast and the intercity transfer.
